Job Title: Marriage & Parenting Ministry Assistant
Supervisor: Marriage & Parenting Associate Director
Hours: Part-time position – 25 hours/week
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Summary:

As part of the Marriage and Parenting team, the position of Ministry Assistant will perform routine administrative tasks with the primary focus being to assist with ministry initiatives and special events. The goal of this position is to aid the departmental personnel in carrying out their leadership and pastoral duties along with providing overall assistance to the department.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and interpersonal skills and be proficient in Word and Excel for
various applications such as database management or word processing. They must also have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Tasks are outlined by detailed work guidelines, policy, or supervision. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

  • Provide administrative support for M&P and True Vine ministries
  • Assist with the M&P annual schedule; Update information in eSpace for M&P events
  • Verify that all information is received for Family Dedication participants
  • Set and update the M&P groups in ChurchTeams, Assist with oversight of on-line registration & childcare needs
  • Maintain/Update necessary information in ChurchTeams (i.e. counseling notes, anniversary dates, class dates, etc.)
  • Collaborate with M&P Associate Director with communications about upcoming events; Assist with set up and tear down of all events and classes
  • Follow protocol and procedures for all the M&P ministries, having the ability to step in as needed to fill in for the ministry Associate Director
  • Assist with event and class setup/teardown as requested
  • Run reports and update all statistics for M&P
  • Evening and weekend availability as needed
  • Assist in oversight of Baby Baskets, First Time Moms, etc.
  • Create QR Codes for Faith at Home Corner resources and assist in keeping them current
  • Fill in as needed at the Faith at Home Corner
  • Assist M&P and True Vine with making purchases for events as needed

Supervision:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:

High school education or equivalent; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
