Adoption Stories

New Mercies Ministries

New Mercies Ministries is a gospel-centered organization providing supportive connections, safe housing, and restorative services for women and families, empowering them to gain stability and ultimately live independently.
New Mercies Ministries Exists To:

+ Mobilize the church to serve the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of isolated families

+ Build relationships with families in need and provide community referrals

+ Empower families to gain stability and independence

Care Communities

“Nationally, 50% of foster families quit either after the first year or after their first placement, primarily because they didn’t feel supported. The Care Communities model has been proven to retain up to 90% of those foster parents. Care communities are teams of 6-8 people that wrap around a foster family, adoptive family, or a New Mercies host family. They offer emotional, spiritual, and practical support. Members choose the roles they want to play in the care community. Care Community volunteers will be assigned a family that is close to you geographically, not more than a 15 minute drive.” Hands of Hope: Care Communities
