KidCity UpTown Coordinator (2-4)

The KidCity UpTown Coordinator (2-4) helps to oversee KidCity's Uptown by supporting and organizing volunteers, preparing lessons and materials, and ensuring an engaging weekend experience for 2nd to 4th graders.

Job Title: KidCity UpTown 24 Coordinator
Supervisor: KidCity Associate Director
Hours: Part time position – 20 hours/week
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Summary:
The UpTown 24 Coordinator position for Pathway Community Church plays a vital role in the daily operations of our ministry. This position coordinates aspects of UpTown, which encompasses 2nd through 4th grade, providing leadership and organization to small groups, volunteers, classroom management, and serving on Saturday and Sunday. The primary roles of this position include preparing small group materials, weekend room preparation, assisting in writing small group lessons, and implementing our Leadership Development Strategy. The incumbent will seek to use their personal gifts and technical skills for the benefit of the church by contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of this department.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This individual must love God and people and have a vital, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The ideal incumbent must possess strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills and will support the overall mission and ministry values outlined by KidCity leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Tasks are outlined by detailed work guidelines, policy, or supervision. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the supervisor. A listing of standard tasks anticipated include:

  • Collaborate with Curriculum Team to prepare God Time, UpTown Challenge, and small group lessons for weekend services

  • Maintain a master UpTown 24 small group leader schedule

  • Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to onboard, observe, and train new volunteers in UpTown 24

  • Send reminders to small group leaders each week with the weekend lesson

  • Gather supplies for 24 small groups for weekend services

  • Set-up and preparation of four (4) classrooms for weekend services

  • Oversee and manage special events for Level 4, including Graduation Celebration and monthly breakfast

  • Oversee and manage a team of volunteers that will maintain, sanitize, and organize all equipment and games in UpTown 24 rooms

  • Lead volunteer huddle time before each service with the supervisor

  • Assist the supervisor in leading discipline strategies for kids and work with families as needed to develop a plan to help kids be successful in KidCity

  • Assist in overseeing the UpTown Bibles and Bucks incentive program

  • Work with the KidCity Administrator to purchase UpTown 24 small group supplies as needed

  • Conduct weekend training as needed for new volunteers

  • Serve and help run weekend services in UpTown

  • Continually appreciate and recognize outstanding volunteers through notes and personal contact

  • Attend KidCity’s weekly staff meeting; Attend PCC’s monthly all-staff meeting

  • Attend Children’s Ministry training and conferences as needed or directed by supervisor

  • Help oversee and coordinate holiday-specific programs with the KidCity department

  • Closely follows policies and procedures laid out to solve routine problems as they relate to the ministry tasks in UpTown

  • Maintain the safety and security of KidCity ministry

  • Encourage and pray for volunteers and the children of KidCity

Associate Worship Director

The Associate Worship Director supports and partners with the Worship Director in planning services, leading worship in multiple environments, and providing care and guidance to worship team volunteers.

Summary:
The position of Associate Worship Director for Pathway Community Church plays a vital role in the daily operations of our ministry. This individual will work alongside the Worship Director with service planning at Pathway Community Church, including the Worship Center and Venue. The Worship Associate will lead worship in the Worship Center, Venue and for mid-week events and ministries as designated by the Worship Director. Additionally, the incumbent will provide pastoral care to PCC’s worship team volunteers who serve mid-week events and ministries. The incumbent will seek to use their personal gifts for the benefit of the church by contributing to the overall leadership and influence of this department.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This individual must love God and people and have a vital, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities as well as demonstrate great organizational capabilities and attention to detail. Proficient music reading, vocal, and instrumental (including keyboard or guitar) skills are also required. This person will be creative, work well with people, and can easily and quickly adapt to new ideas and a fast-paced environment. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties are outlined by general guidelines and require creativity and initiative to assist in setting the structure and scope of the department. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the supervisor. A listing of standard tasks anticipated include:

  • Assist with auditions, developing, and leading worship teams in devotional preparation, providing ongoing training to disciple volunteers

  • Identify, coach, and equip lay leaders and volunteers, developing ministry teams to support broader mission

  • Schedule worship and oversee rehearsals for weekday events and funerals along with various environments requesting worship

  • Support and encourage our key Celebrate Recovery worship volunteers, empowering them to thrive in their roles.

  • Collaborate with the Worship Director to integrate weekend worship selection with service theme and message

  • Serve with our Staff on Call rotation and perform other appropriate pastoral responsibilities.

  • Upload songs and update service plans in Planning Center each week for all weekend services

  • Organize, purchase, and distribute music for all team members

  • Attend and participate in planning meetings, and take notes to distribute to team members

  • Ensure licensing requirements are met and payments made for all copyrighted materials


Supervision:
This job does not supervise others, but may control work methods, tasks, or other activities. May provide supervision of volunteer teams.

Successful completion of 4-year degree; 3-5 years related experience leading worship in a church setting, experience supervising and leading others, preferably in a church environment. A pastoral degree or a willingness to attain one is desirable. Experience with Ableton, Planning Center, and Pro Presenter as well as experience with live sound and production preferred.

Media Coordinator

The incumbent will seek to use their personal gifts and skills for the benefit of the church by contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of this department.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ideal candidate will be proficient with video production tools, have strong communication skills, and be highly organized. They must also possess a creative mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage and meet tight deadlines.   • Assist with the planning, scheduling, and execution of all church media projects
  • Collaborate with pastors, ministry leaders, and creative staff to gather vision, content, and goals for each project
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to help manage PCC's social media platforms by creating cohesive, engaging, and impactful content
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and managing media volunteers or interns

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Familiar with the areas of live and media production; or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1-3 years of experience in video production, church media, or a creative ministry role.

  • Work alongside the First Impressions Director to ensure that supplies are ordered and stocked

  • Collaborate with the First Impressions Director to manage the coffee volunteer schedule and provide ongoing support to volunteers as needed

  • Create a supportive and motivating environment that values, appreciates, and empowers volunteers to thrive

  • Ability to work with deadlines and collaborate as a team player
