DAY 7: COMFORT FROM GOD’S HEART
SCRIPTURE
“When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.”
– Isaiah 43:2, NIV
When I imagine what God’s voice of comfort would say to us during these times, I imagine it might sound something like this:
“I hear your cries, O my people. I see the turmoil and lives that have been lost. I see the chaos of the streets, families that have been separated and don’t know where their loved ones are. Yet, I AM your God.
As the nights unfold and the daylight breaks, I remain the same—here to comfort you, here to give you a hope, here to give you rest. It may not look or feel that way at this very moment, but I assure you I will not leave you or forsake you.”
Along with others from all around the world, nation to nation, we continue to pray for you, Israel.
PRAYER
Father God, you know the anxiety, worry, fear, and loss of life that are taking place in these moments. May you continue to send your peace and comfort, and may you be a hiding place for your people to dwell with you. I thank you Father for what you can only do in these days ahead. May we find rest in you and your Word that never fails. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
