True Vine Weekend

Adoption I Foster Care I Family Preservation

Pathway believes in redemption and healing, and we believe in Christ’s mandate to serve the vulnerable. More than 75 Pathway families have stepped into foster care, adoption, and pre-foster care support (New Mercies Ministries) to provide kids with a safe place to call home. We believe everyone can do something to positively impact the life of a child. And that all of those “somethings” are valuable. Join us for True Vine Weekend to learn more about God’s call to serve vulnerable children and families.

You won’t want to miss our very special services December 2+3, featuring guest speaker Dr. Curt Thompson. You’ll also have opportunity to attend two special events with Dr. Thompson this weekend, and we highly recommend you take advantage of these sessions! (More information below.)

FAMILY PRESERVATION + CARE COMMUNITIES INFO MEETING

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10 | 11AM

Join us for this session, and you’ll get info about:

      • Family preservation through New Mercies Ministries (formerly Safe Families)
      • Care Communities are made up of a group of 4-6 adults/families who serve as an extended family that offers tangible support for a foster family.
      • CarePortal is an online platform that enables the Department of Child Services to request tangible needs (such as a dresser or twin bed) for underresourced families in the community. We, the local church then have the opportunity to meet those needs.
      • CASA volunteers (court-appointed special advocates) advocate for children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Light snacks will be served and there is no need to RSVP.

Location: The Gathering (main level, near the back of the cafe lobby)
