What the Bible Says About Money
The following is from “What the Bible Says About Money” by James Lenhoff, and is taken from the Theology of Stewardship and Generosity at Christian Stewardship Network (CSN).
“Spending money has an emotional side. We medicate our emotions by spending money we don’t have, so it’s not a money problem; it’s a spiritual problem.” According to James Lenhoff, $5,000,000,000,000 ($5 trillion) pass through the hands of Christian families every year.
“Most people think the Bible says that money is the root of all evil. When people believe money is evil, then the problem is external.”
Take time to read 1 Timothy 6:17-19, it tells us we should talk about money. There are immense blessings available to those who lay up treasure as a firm foundation.
