Dominican Republic Team 2019

This outreach is made possible through a partnership with Crosswinds. Pathway teams travel to Caribbean Mountain Academy (CMA) in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. Crosswinds created a mission program as an extension of CMA’s residential boarding school for troubled teens. Through this mission program, Academy students are able to see people who have a heart for service, living it out right in front of them.

We have sent four teams to CMA, two youth and two adult teams over the last two years. Past trips have included constructing a road, building a restroom for a church, and leading VBS for the village. This short-term mission is great for families, and offers many different opportunities for ministry—including construction, community outreach, ministry to children, and connection with students at CMA.

Why We're Going

  • Construction: Living out the Gospel through construction projects in the community.
  • Children’s ministry: Bless young children through positive interaction including VBS, crafts, Bible stories, or games.
  • School ministry: Minister at local schools by playing with students during recess, organizing a craft project, or more.
  • Youth ministry: Connect directly with local youth, as well as teens at CMA.
