Job Title: Missions and Outreach Coordinator
Supervisor: Missions Director
Hours: 25 hours/week
FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt


The position of Missions and Outreach Coordinator for Pathway Community Church plays a vital role in the daily operations of our ministry. This individual will focus largely on aiding the Missions Director in carrying out the vision set forth by the Director. Primary duties will include coordinating the day-to-day tasks to accomplish the vision while also collaborating on long term planning of in-house outreach ministries. This individual will also connect with and support Pathway Community Church’s ministry partners within the community as well as assist with short-term mission trip team formations, fundraising, and execution of trips. The incumbent will seek to use their personal gifts and skills to aid the Missions Director in carrying out their leadership duties for the benefit of the church by contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of this department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties are outlined by general guidelines and require creativity and initiative to set the structure and scope of the department. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the supervisor. A listing of standard tasks anticipated within the Missions department include:

  • Create online registrations for missions events; schedule and train volunteers as needed; maintain quality communication with team leaders
  • Build intentional connections with local ministry partners, providing support and the coordination of volunteer opportunities
  • Collaborate with Missions team for long-term planning; assist with executing the vision set forth by the Missions Director
  • Create policies for in-house ministries such as PCC’s Food Pantry, Pathway Garden, Meals 4 Healing, Helping Hands, etc.; provide support to the Missions Director by handling basic daily decision-making for said ministries
  • Submit signage, promotion, and/or video requests for approval; collaborate with department heads for clarification and final output
  • Process incoming calls and emails regarding outreach opportunities
  • Collaborate with Missions team in planning PCC’s short term mission trips; provide data entry for these events


This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may provide oversight for volunteer teams

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Preference given to those with two or more years of related experience.
