PCC Young Adults
18-25 Year Olds: You belong here!
This is the primary environment at Pathway where young adults can pursue full life in Jesus Christ, together. Through PCC Young Adults, you’ll have opportunity to connect with other Christ-followers who are in a similar stage of life. You’ll learn to grow in God’s Word, serve the church and the community, and go lead others into full life in Christ. Sound like a lot? It’s actually really simple and a lot of fun! Here are some of the ways this mission and these values play out in our community of young adults:
Life Group Launch
At the start of our fall and winter semesters, we kick off with a Life Group Launch. These are great opportunities to meet new people and reconnect with old friends. We engage in a large-group study that gathers our entire young adult community together at Pathway. At the end of this series, we launch into Life Groups—smaller communities that continue to meet throughout the semester.
Life Groups
Life Groups are the core of PCC Young Adults. These groups are designed to provide a consistent, ongoing opportunity to experience deeper connections with God and with others. They meet in a variety of locations any time throughout the day, any day of the week.
Retreats
Seasonally, we get away together for a weekend retreat. These are great times to connect deeper in community, worship and grow together, and have a lot of fun. Be on the lookout for our next getaway!
Mission Trips
Every spring we will offer a short term missions trip. Stay tuned for details about our next adventure!
Life Events
These are fun events meant to bring all the young adult Life Groups together for exciting community. We will have several of these per semester. They are also meant to provide opportunities to invite new people to church. Examples of these types of events include: movie premiere nights, worship nights, Friendsgiving Feast, and open volleyball.

Byron Von Gunten is the one-and-only College and Young Adult Pastor at PCC who is known worldwide for keeping African Cichlids. Until recently, he had the distinction of having attended every CDYC since 1989. CDYC is where he discovered his love of volleyball and ministry, which eventually led to his participation in two Athletes in Action volleyball tours. Now past his prime volleyball-playing-years, he enjoys cichlid conventions where he can sell and buy rare fish. But his real love is for his family. In whatever ministry he serves, his wife Renee serves right beside him—at Pathway with young adults, or at home with their sons, Maverick and Silas.
