Summary:

The position of Associate Director of Media for Pathway Community Church plays a vital leadership role in the daily operations of our ministry. This individual will oversee all aspects of media for KidCity in its large group environments and online videos. This includes video production, audio voiceovers, graphics, and animations. This role participates in the weekly playlists and gives oversite to the KidCity website content and videos. The incumbent will seek to use their personal gifts for the benefit of the church by contributing to the success of this department and lay volunteers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties are outlined by general guidelines and require creativity and initiative to set the structure and scope of the department. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the supervisor and Board of Elders. A listing of standard tasks anticipated include:

  • Produce large group environment media for weekly programing, including the following: original video productions, voiceovers, video editing, graphic design, song/sound production, theme songs, lyric videos, script editing, animation, lighting, programming, and playlist development.
  • Oversee KidCity website.
  • Partner with Pathway’s Technical Director to assist in helping with technical volunteers for all large group environments.
  • Lead and guide Coordinators in Tot Time, 2’s Clues, K.C.’s Place, Clubhouse and UpTown, providing training to ensure seamless execution of technical programing.

Supervision:

This position does not supervise others; may control work methods, tasks or other activities.

  • Use of Technology – Advocates for new technology to improve productivity and effectiveness of storytelling including graphic design, website, audio and visual. Use and proficiency of Microsoft Office, Adobe Premier/Photoshop/Audition, email, and other office PC tools.

Education and/or Experience:

Successful completion of post high school education with a minimum of a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Digital Media.
