Thank you for your interest in family dedication. These are very significant and special times for families, as well as for our church family. We believe that the parenting responsibility is one of the most important and profound. As a result, we want to partner with you as your church - coming alongside of you in any way that we can.
The family dedication service is one of the ways that we do this, because in this service you have the opportunity to express your desire to raise your child in a way that honors God and fulfills His desires both for you and for your child. It also provides you with the opportunity to commit to this in community with others, creating a structure of accountability and encouragement for you along the way.
To participate in one of our three family dedication services, there are several things that we ask of you:
- Register by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by signing up in the bulletin.
- Complete the family dedication application form and return this to us as soon as possible.
- Once we receive the application back from you, we will mail you a family dedication packet that includes a family dedication handbook, a dedication and prayer/picture form, and the "day of" instructions. We encourage you to spend some time working through the handbook, writing down any thoughts or questions that come up for you as you do. You will bring this with you to the family dedication class.
- When you have completed these steps, the next step is attending the family dedication class. During this one hour session, we will discuss what family dedication is all about. We believe this is crucial for making this experience as meaningful as possible. We offer two separate class times prior to each family dedication service.
- Finally, the last step involved in the family dedication process is recording the video that will be shown at the family dedication service. This brief video will simply include the parent or parents of the child sharing why they want to have their child dedicated and sharing their prayer for their child. We will record these videos during the family dedication class sessions. If possible, we would like both parents, along with the child being dedicated, to be included in these videos.
We are so encouraged when parents choose to be intentional about how they plan to raise their kids and we are really excited to walk along side of you on this journey.
