Wednesday Evening Study :: September 18 – November 20

Proven by Jennie Allen

Too many of us walk through life feeling as if we don’t measure up. We think if we could only work harder or be better, we could be enough. But the truth is, we will never be enough. And thankfully, we don’t have to be. In this study we’ll walk through key passages in the Book of John to demonstrate how only Jesus is enough. We don’t have to prove anything because Jesus has already proven everything. Great for those who are looking for in-depth study.

1 Peter by Jen Wilkin

In this study, we’ll dig deep into the book of 1 Peter finding our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. We’ll find a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenging us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the church, describes believers’ true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps us discover what it means to experience the Living Hope of Christ. Great for those who are looking for in-depth study.

We Saved You a Seat by Lisa Jo Baker

In today’s busy world, we’re wired to appear “fine”. We hide behind the hum of busyness to escape intimate friendships with the women God has placed in our lives. But we yearn for authentic relationships and the opportunity to be the opposite of “fine” with people who cheer for us. But comparison, envy, and entitlement often stop us from pulling out a chair at the table. Friendship can be hard, making new friends even harder, and maintaining genuine friendship the hardest of all. In this study, we’ll explore our relationship with Jesus as the ultimate model for authentic friendship. Nothing shapes us like the impact of a friend – it’s how Jesus radically and intimately connects with us. So instead of chasing perfection, overcome your fear of being known and find the courage to connect. Great for those who are new to opening the Bible.
