You have influence. Learn how to
maximize it.

Every August, Fort Wayne hosts the world’s largest satellite gathering of the Global Leadership Summit. This two-day conference infuses leaders in all walks of life with vision, inspiration, and practical skills we can apply at work, home, and everywhere in between. Until now, this has been a once-a-year experience.

Between the Summits is a series of “best of” videos from the Summit’s archives. Once a month from January through May of 2019, Pathway professionals, parents, volunteers, and leaders of every kind will gather at Parkview’s Mirro Center for lunch and some of the Summit’s highest-impact sessions. This series is being offered only to Pathway attendees and their guests. (Please feel free to invite co-workers, friends, and family who do not attend Pathway.) It’s an amazing opportunity to learn, connect, and work toward the best versions of ourselves. We hope you’ll take advantage of the opportunity and we’ll see you Between the Summits!

Brene Brown | “Rising Strong”

Social scientist Brené Brown has ignited a global conversation on courage, vulnerability, shame, and worthiness. Her pioneering work uncovered a profound truth: Vulnerability—the willingness to show up and be seen with no guarantee of outcome—is the only path to more love, belonging, creativity, and joy. But living a brave life is not always easy: We are, inevitably, going to stumble and fall.

Horst Schulze, CEO of Capella Hotel Group and former COO of The Ritz-Carlton, shares insights from his long career in customer service. At its very core, the best customer service is delivered when a business genuinely cares about its people. To build a culture that values great service, leaders must hire, orient and sustain the value of service on an ongoing basis.

Jim Collins | “Seven Questions Beyond Good to Great”

In 2012 and 2013, Jim had the honor to serve as the Class of 1951 Chair for the Study of Leadership at the United States Military Academy at West Point. He came away from the experience inspired by the young women and men he had met, and learned from. In 2015, he consolidated his reflections into a talk for the Global Leadership Summit, organized into seven questions. While its message speaks to leaders of all ages, Jim developed the talk with those under age 35 very much in mind.
